 Dear Friends,

Praise be to the Lord!  Our Alison is now off the ventilator, and is on CPAP!

The ventilator tube, which has been in Alison’s trachea since her birth, came out Wednesday at 3:15 PM—and she is holding steady.  Thank You, Lord!  She is not yet strong enough to breathe on her own, but she is gaining additional strength each day.

Her blood gasses have remained good; but her doctors have warned us that Alison could begin to struggle a bit without the steroid treatments she has been receiving (due to inflammation in her trachea and lungs).  Alison received her last dose of steroids this morning (the doctors have to limit the burst of steroids due to potential side-effects).

CPAP is a high-pressure, oxygen rich nasal canula that assists Alison’s lungs with her oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange.

The main downside of CPAP is a high-pressure flow of oxygen is being sent through Alison’s nasal passages that is extremely aggravating to her.

Please pray that the Lord would grant healing to the swelling in Alison's trachea and lungs.  Please pray that the Lord would grant His peace to Alison to limit any aggravation with the CPAP support.  Please pray that the Lord would grant Alison quality rest.

We praise our merciful Lord for all that he has made possible!  Please continue to pray for our little girl.  We will put up an extended update with additional pictures a little later.

Blessings to you,

Langston and Stephanie
