Dear Friends,
We are home and doing great. Praise be to God! We are gaining an understanding of what it is to have a baby at home. Thank you, Lord! Alison is doing exceptionally well. Thank you, Lord! Bayley, our miniature schnauzer, is relieved to have us home (even with a crying baby sister). J Stephanie and I are truly thankful we no longer have to go to the hospital every day (even though we grew to love the wonderful folks who cared for our daughter).
We are trying to catch up with things that were put on hold (during Alison’s stay at the hospital), decorating our home for Alison’s first Christmas, and my work. There is much to do with a baby at home (including Alison’s medical needs and visits to her physicians’ offices). We are learning to try to sleep in between it all. J
We wanted you to be able to enjoy some pictures of Alison’s first week and a half at home. We ask that you continue to pray for Alison—her journey is not yet through. Please pray that the Lord would grant His wisdom and understanding of Alison’s body to her healthcare professionals. Please pray that the Lord would protect Alison from all viruses. Please pray that the Lord would grant continued healing to Alison’s lungs. Please pray that the Lord would grant continued healing to Alison’s lymphatic and digestive systems (she is now at 100% mother’s milk). Please pray that the Lord would bless Alison’s continued neurological progression. Please pray that the Lord would bless Alison’s physical and social development (she is a little delayed due to the early trauma to her body—her doctors’ expect this). Please pray that the Lord would grant us His rest, strength, and endurance. Please pray that the Lord would protect Alison, Stephanie and me from the evil one. Please pray that the Lord’s will be done and that He would receive all praise and glory.
We have much to be thankful for. Our Lord has been truly merciful due only to His enduring love. Your prayers and friendship have been invaluable to our family. We continue to give thanks for your willingness to stand in the gap during our time of need. Alison’s grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles wish to thank you for your love, friendship, and prayers. From our family to yours, thank you and may our Lord richly bless you and your family during this season of joy! Merry Christmas!
Blessings to you,
Langston, Stephanie and Alison
