2 Timothy 1:12 KJV
I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted in Him until the day of His return.
Dear Folks,
Late last night, our Alison had tubes inserted into both sides of her upper chest cavity (the pleural space--the protective layer around her lungs) to allow for the continuous draining of fluid. The tubes will remain in place until the fluid ceases to build. The fluid build-up continues to be a nagging problem to her recovery. During the night, more than 300 cc's of fluid were drained from her chest cavity. While this is a blessing for her lungs (it will stop the fluid from collecting around her lungs and allow them to work more efficiently); it opens her chest cavity to possible infection. Please pray that the Lord will protect our Alison from infection. Please pray that the Lord will heal Alison of the continuous build-up of fluid from the leeching of her lymph nodes. Our Alison is in need of a special touch from her Lord and Savior. Please pray for wisdom for her doctors, respiratory therapists and nurses. Please pray that the Lord would deny satan's petitions to cause her harm.

When we came into her room this morning, the swelling in her body had substantially receded. We rejoiced in seeing a tiny baby in her bed. How great is our Lord! Yet, the doctors are a little concerned about her becoming dehydrated from the continuous draining of fluid. Alison will start receiving .5 cc of fluid replacement for every 1 cc of fluid that drains from her body. Please pray that the Lord will protect Alison from dehydration and that her body will retain the proper amount of nourishment it needs.
Alison's lungs are growing stronger with the constant draining of fluid from her chest cavity. Her rate of breath remains at 30; but her oxygen support is down to 30%. Alison's respiratory therapist told us that normal air contains about 21% oxygen; she is so very close. Praise be to the Lord!
We are constantly reminded how much our Alison needs the Great Physician and how much we need our Father in Heaven to give us strength when we see our little girl hit another bump in her road to recovery. We continue to pray that His will be done and that we will submit ourselves to His will. We trust our Lord because there is no other in whom we desire to trust. Please continue to stand in the gap for our precious Alison. From our family to yours, thank you for your sacrifice of prayer for our little girl.
Blessings to you,
Langston and Stephanie
